Pall-Ex France has officially gone live, becoming the business’s fourth active network on the Continent.
Pall-Ex France, which is run by De Rijke, has a hub in Bourges and 40 hauliers in membership.
Lionel Brizard, network director at Pall-Ex France, said: “Unlike Pall-Ex Romania, we’re not the first pallet network here. However, how we operate is unique in France.
“We are the only network in the country to run a hub and spoke model, with one hub facilitating everything from single pallets to part trailer loads,” he added.
On its first night of operation the hub in France handled 474 pallets.
Pall-Ex has set itself the target of having a 15 country-strong network of European franchisees by 2015, with Poland set to launch next. It already has networks in Italy, Romania and the Iberian Peninsula.
It has just appointed a marketing director to support its expansion throughout Europe.
