Oxfordshire-based Interoute Transport Services has been placed into administration, and its transport business closed with immediate effect. The operator, which is based in Thame, appointed administrator Quantuma last Friday afternoon (17 May). Norbert Dentressangle will cease providing warehousing and distribution services to collapsed retail chain Comet from tomorrow (21 December). Last month the operator warned its five-year £100m contract with Comet, which it only signed earlier this year, was in the hands of the retail chain’s administrator Deloitte. Simpson Logistics ran out of road due to a customer dispute and creditors chasing payment, says administrator
Administrators handling the affairs of County Durham haulier Simpsons Logistics said it had stopped trading due to a combination of cash flow issues, a customer dispute and a winding up petition.
The administrator for Tachodisc said it is not possible to provide an accurate estimate of when unsecured creditors are likely to receive the money they are owed.
