Wines and spirits supplier Pernod Ricard Group has renewed its UK warehousing and distribution contract with Wincanton, extending their relationship by five years.

The operator has provided warehousing, repacking and customer distribution for Pernod Ricard’s brands, which include Absolut, Jameson, Jacob’s Creek and Campo Viejo, since 1995.

The new part of the contract will see Wincanton handle over seven million cases annually from its bonded warehouse in Corby, Northamptonshire.

It will also be responsible for duty stamping individual bottles, repackaging to accommodate changes in pack sizes, repackaging into gift boxes, applying neck tags to bottles and building display units.

Wincanton chief executive Eric Born said: "This contract renewal takes our partnership with Pernod Ricard UK to beyond the 20 year mark which is a tremendous achievement. It underlines our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and seeking to unlock further potential in our customers' supply chains."
