Yearsley Group has officially opened its new Hams Hall ‘superhub’ at Coleshill, in the West Midlands.
The site, which it bought from Ropemaker Properties after formally acquiring the business and assets of former site occupier Partner Logistics Hams Hall in September last year, incorporates a 200,000ft² automated cold store.
The cold store that can hold 42,000 pallets, and has a further 5,000 pallets of non-automated storage capacity.
The new depot, which is close to five major motorways, operates on a 24/7 basis to provide day one for day two delivery to major retailers and is one of three ‘superhubs’ the firm has been working on recently.
A second site at Heywood, in Manchester, is due to be completed by May with detailed planning application for the third, at Peterborough, to be submitted in April.
