Jigsaw has unveiled a new livery, which it said is designed to reflect its position within its network of nine regional partners. The livery will appear on its fleet of 15.6m trailers, which were built by Cartwright and are allocated to Jigsaw’s majority shareholder MT Haulier of the Year 2012 Downton Transport. The DfT has relaunched its longer semi-trailer trial, following a consultation this summer, and in a significant concession, has said the market will be left to decide the mix of longer trailer variants within the scheme.
Labour is calling on the government to “reverse its reckless decision” to give the go-ahead for a ten-year trial of longer semi-trailers. Bardon, Leicestershire-based Jigsaw has extended its distribution contract with Grace Foods. The logistics network, made up of 10 haulage partners with the majority share owned by CM Downton, improved the consistency of deliveries since it took over transport for Grace from an in-house operation in 2009.
