Jigsaw longer semi-trailer

Jigsaw has unveiled a new livery, which it said is designed to reflect its position within its network of nine regional partners.

The livery will appear on its fleet of 15.6m trailers, which were built by Cartwright and are allocated to Jigsaw’s majority shareholder MT Haulier of the Year 2012 Downton Transport.

They will initially service contracts held by white goods manufacturer Indesit and drinks firm AB InBev.

Jigsaw MD Andy Humpherson said: “Our new identity is designed to emphasise our position as the central piece of an integrated network and highlights ‘the power to deliver’ as our core value proposition.”

Humpherson said the new trailers will be used for trunking between DCs.

He added: “They are ideally suited for loads comprising bulky but relatively lightweight pallets such as white and brown goods and many food products.

"They can accommodate up to four additional pallets which means around 14% more load can be carried when compared with current designs.”
