London Gateway claimed it saved 9,000 lorry journeys after accepting a single “mega delivery” of aggregate by cargo ship. Freight deliveries within the capital should be shifted outside of peak hours, according to a new report from the Roads Task Force (RTF).
TfL has today (4 October) revealed its Out-of-Hours Consortium, as well as officially announcing new out-of-hours delivery trials will be up and running in London within months.
