ACS&T

Seafood company Young’s has extended its relationship with ACS&T Logistics for three years.

ACS&T has held a storage and distribution contract with the firm’s foodservice division since the early 1990s.

It aims to reduce mileage by cross docking the majority of its deliveries at ACS&T’s Wolverhampton site, by using planning software to identify which orders require cross docking.

The firm, which has four operating centres in Wolverhampton, Grimsby, Scarborough and Tewksbury also sends daily stock reports to the seafood supplier to ensure that customers requirements are met.

Young’s Seafood logistics manager Chris Law said: “Having worked with ACS&T for a number of years, we were confident in their ability to continue to provide a cost-effective and efficient logistics operation. ACS&T pay real attention to our storage and distribution requirements and are always willing to go the extra mile to assist with ours and our customer demands.”
