Yearsley Logistics new Actros

Lancashire-based Yearsley Group has unveiled its refreshed livery on 30 new Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks.

The chilled distribution specialist has replaced older vehicles as well as increasing its overall fleet size with the purchase of the Actros 2545 SteamSpace tractor units.

It has also taken a delivery of 300 new refrigerated Gray & Adams trailers, including five double-deckers.

Operations director Mark Halsam said: “We’ve been very happy with the reliability of our previous Actros trucks, and with the quality of back-up we’ve from received Enza and Mercedes-Benz.

"Those two factors have combined to give the vehicles a very high percentage of ‘uptime’.”

The new logo will ultimately be featured on vehicles across the 58-year old company's food and logistics divisions, as well as on literature and on its website.

The company says the new image is forward looking without totally moving away from its heritage.

Yearsley MD Harry Yearsley, said: "This rebranding is another way in which we are taking the company into the future, reaffirming our position as one of the UK’s leading frozen food distributors and logistics providers."
