A “satisfactory” fourth quarter left French logistics giant Norbert Dentressangle with group turnover of €3.88bn (£3.32bn) during 2012 – up 8.5%. Fakenham, Norfolk haulier Jack Richards & Son has reported a 56% rise in pre-tax profit, and £2.3m rise in turnover, for the year ending 31 May 2012. Crewe, Cheshire-based Brit European Transport made a dramatic return to profit during 2011, recording a pre-tax profit of £334,000 compared to pre-tax loss of £453,000 the previous year. Turnover in the year to 31 December rose 20% from £20m to £24m, all but £2m of which was generated in the UK.
