Great Bear Distribution has appointed former Kuehne + Nagel senior vice-president for contract logistics, Glenn Lindfield, as chief executive.
Lindfield, who will step down from his role as senior vice president for contract logistics for K+N North West Europe, will take on his new position from 1 February.
He will take over management responsibility from the Chester-based 3PL’s founders, David Williams and Colin McDavid, who will continue to be involved in business strategy.
Lindfield said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this position at such an exciting time in Great Bear’s development. It is a business that I have admired for many years. It has a fantastic customer base, great management team and an excellent reputation for customer service and innovation. I look forward to leading Great Bear to further growth.”
Lindfield's former responsibilities will be taken on by Dominic Edmonds, former business unit director for technology at K+N.
