Road-to-change-image

As MotorTransport.co.uk approaches its first anniversary, we are making some exciting changes to the site and bringing you additional content that you can only access online.

To ensure we continue to provide you with the most relevant news and content to help you and your organisations stay on top of developments in the road transport industry, we will be introducing a registration wall to the site from Monday 4 February.

Everything will remain free to view, but we will ask for a few details from you so we can gain a clearer picture of who our online audience is. Registration will only take two minutes, and once you have signed up, you are free to browse and access everything on MotorTransport.co.uk.

The print edition of Motor Transport has been the standard for quality, independent journalism for UK haulage and logistics operators since 1904, and since the launch of MT.co.uk the editorial team have been bringing you the best, breaking news in the road transport industry every day of the week.

“We will continue to provide our online audience with the biggest stories in the industry as they happen,” said group news editor Christopher Walton. “MotorTransport.co.uk is the industry’s  only port of call for off-diary news, financial reporting about the state of the industry, and analysis of the headlines, keeping logistics professionals and their businesses up to date.”

Along with breaking news, registered members will have access to a range of new features including:

  • a Business Blog with expert knowledge on the deals and developments taking place across the industry;
  • a Knowledge Bank of the hot topics affecting transport and what you need to do to plan and prepare for forthcoming legislation;
  • share price monitoring;
  • the Motor Transport Award winners’ features ranked by category; road tests all in one easy-to-read place.

The Motor Transport Top 100 and the Motor Transport Cost Tables will still be part of the site, but only available to registered users.

“Readers of Motor Transport have always had to register to receive a free copy of the magazine and we hope our online audience will see the benefit of becoming a registered member of our website,” said Motor Transport editor Steve Hobson. “By knowing who our online users are, we can understand exactly what content is relevant and create a stronger offering of news, features, analysis and data.”
