Stobart Group is to discontinue its chilled operations “as a stand alone unit” insisting that the “change will not affect Stobart’s national network solution for customers”. Culina has won a new distribution contract with Bute Island Foods to transport its vegan Sheese product to wholesalers and retailers across the UK. The food firm originally ran its Sheese distribution operation from Scotland, however, it decided it would be able to reach a wider market more effectively by switching to a logistics provider with national capabilities and a stronger southern presence.
