DHL has won a £100m contract with electrical goods manufacturer Panasonic that will see it manage its warehousing and transportation.

The contract will see DHL carry out order fulfillment of electronic goods, manage a shared warehouse operation, and look to enhance Panasonic's  domestic transport operation.

DHL Supply Chain MD of specialist services for the UK and Ireland, Paul Richardson, said: “This is a significant solution that has been constructed in a very short timescale. Throughout, we have taken a truly collaborative approach to the project, working in partnership with Panasonic and adding value by exploiting our flexibility, global reach and focus on commercial innovation.”

Panasonic Europe chief supply chain officer Nigel Cowmeadow said: “Panasonic strives to find new ways to deliver customer value and DHL has demonstrated that it is a suitable partner to join us on our journey.”
