TIP Trailer Services, part of GE Capital, has opened its seventh authorised testing facility (ATF) in Essex, following a £120,000 depot upgrade.
The Grays, Essex site offers LGV and ADR as well as hire and maintenance as part of a rolling programme to develop a network of ATFs.
The trailer rental service also offers testing at its sites in Manchester, Dublin, Leeds, Liverpool, Felixstowe and Nuneaton, the first of which was launched two years ago.
UK fleetcare manager Jonny Clark said: “The additional ATF facility here at Grays will help to take the strain from local Vosa centres and ensure hauliers have fully approved TIP ATF test facilities available to them locally as well as across the UK through our other six ATF outlets.”
The new ATF is located at the TIP’s depot on the Frogmore industrial estate in West Thurrock.
