Somerset-based Framptons Transport Services is set to open its new Mendip DC in early January. The new £5m, 85,000 ft² DC has been built on time and within budget by local building contractor Ken Biggs. Cambridgeshire temperature-controlled operator Buffaload Logistics has opened a new cross-docking facility at its Huntingdon base, which it claims will increase capacity at the site by up to 50%.
