Online grocery retailer Ocado has said its second customer fulfilment centre in Dordon, Warwickshire, will commence operations in February next year. Equipment installation at the warehouse is almost complete and testing has been underway since May, the firm confirmed. The project “remains in line with budget”, it said. Morrisons has signed a 25-year deal with Ocado to enable it to develop its online grocery home delivery business, using its logistics and technology operations along with a fleet of Morrisons-liveried vehicles.
Meachers Global Logistics has netted a three-year contract extension with packaging company Huhtamaki (UK).
