Crewe, Cheshire-based Brit European Transport made a dramatic return to profit during 2011, recording a pre-tax profit of £334,000 compared to pre-tax loss of £453,000 the previous year. UPS rallied last year after seeing a fall in both pre-tax profits and turnover in 2019, according to its latest annual results.
Kuehne+Nagel said it experienced a “significant increase” in shipments within its road logistics division in the third quarter and demand for domestic transport in European countries reached pre-crisis levels.
Kuehne + Nagel group chief executive Reinhard Lange is to step down in May. The news came as the firm reported a dip in European EBITDA and turnover due to intense margin pressure.
