Wincanton has slammed the government’s forthcoming Lorry Road User Charge (LRUC) for not doing enough to level the playing field between UK and foreign operators. Wincanton hasn’t had it all its own way of late. A resurgent Eddie Stobart wrestled a Cemex contract valued at £15m off it, and MT revealed earlier this month that Britvic had re-awarded its entire transport requirement to Eddie Stobart after the first year of a five-year deal with Wincanton.
Wincanton’s new group finance director, Tim Lawlor, has assumed his new role as of today, after it was announced that he’d secured the job in early July.
