Royal Mail is planning a nationwide roll out of its ‘Delivery to Neighbour’ service in late September, to bring its final mile service more in line with competitors. Ofcom has announced a “fundamental review” into the regulation of Royal Mail, after the withdrawal of Whistl’s final mile delivery service left it without a major competitor in the postal market.
ACS&T has signed a new five-year contract extending its work for Italian food manufacturer Ticco Foods. The firm, which runs two Ticco-liveried trucks, will receive inbound goods at its Wolverhampton depot from suppliers in the UK and Italy, create consolidated loads and deliver them to customers nationwide in the food service sector – primarily restaurants and high street retailer cafes, wholesalers and brokers, said ACS&T MD, Malcolm Johnstone (pictured, right).
