TNT Express has confirmed that the European Commission has temporarily suspended a merger bid with rival postal company UPS. UPS has opened two facilities within the Olympic Park allowing athletes, team officials and the international media the ability to send and receive packages throughout the Games. The first ‘relay room’ will be located within the Olympic Village providing team officials with an outbound service offering packaging, customs advice, security clearance, carbon-neutral shipping and delivery. Vehicle transporter Autologic’s shares have today been delisted from the Alternative Investment Market following its takeover by Stobart Group. Stobart Group made its formal £12.4m offer for Autologic in June, having been in talks since May.
