Hermes has won a five-year contract extension with plus-size women’s clothing firm JD Williams, for handling UK and cross-border home deliveries. The extended deal, which will run until 2017, will see the parcels firm handling more than 15 million items per year for JD Williams’ 32 brands. Retail deliveries for same day courier CitySprint doubled over the Christmas peak, in comparison to 2011’s figures. The firm handled over a quarter of a million retail deliveries during December, its busiest Christmas peak to date, experiencing its largest volumes on Thursday 18 December.
