Bibby Distribution has appointed Paul Kavanagh as its chief operating officer.
Kavanagh was MD of Peel Ports Group’s Medway division.
He has also held senior positions at NYK Logistics, Christian Salvesen and P&O Ferrymasters.
Iain Speak, chief executive of Bibby, says: “With full responsibility for the company’s UK operations, Paul’s primary focus will be to build upon recent successes and facilitate business growth via existing and new customers.”
Last month Bibby revealed it had won a contract with Morrisons to operate five regional consolidation centres across the UK.
