The FTA has poured cold water on suggestions that operators could perform annual roadworthiness tests on their own vehicles.
The cost of regulatory compliance for operators that specialise in chemical distribution will continue to rise, as Brexit will not be able to offer any significant regulation changes in the sector, according to the Chemical Business Association (CBA).
Vosa plans to stop testing at its Gillingham and Grantham sites by the end of March 2013. Although the stations in Gillingham, Kent and Grantham, Lincolnshire, will not close, Vosa has taken the decision to cease testing at these sites.
