The UK was Scania’s biggest market worldwide in 2016, the first time this country has topped the Swedish truck builder’s sales charts, according to Mathias Carlbaum, Scania’s executive vice president for commercial operations.
Scania is to appeal today’s €881m (£771m) fine from the European Commission (EC) over price-fixing, after refuting the findings.
Featherstone, West Yorkshire-based vehicle operator Brian Yeardley Continental has said it is “very disappointed” that new Euro-6 trucks cannot be delivered by some vehicle suppliers in the UK yet.
