The Transport Committee is seeking operators’ views on the future of UK road freight, ahead of a public evidence session on 3 July.

The select committee, which recently found that London's councils were  unable to provide detail about Olympics enforcement policy, wants written evidence submitted by 27 June.

Areas of debate include the government’s approach to road freight and the strategic road network; fuel prices; theft and security issues, including how to tackle truck crime; winter resilience; drivers’ hours rules and compliance; freight interchanges and the place of freight in the National Networks National Policy Statement.

Operators can email transev@parliament.uk with their thoughts, which should be no longer than six pages in length.

Full details can be found at the Transport Committee homepage.
