Autologic is in talks with Stobart Group over a potential cash offer by the Cumbrian giant for the number one operator in UK automotive logistics. Eddie Stobart Logistics has said that its revenue and profits are growing, and it is ahead of its targets, in its first year of trading under the majority ownership of private investors.
The combination of the £16m sale of its former automotive logistics division and securing a “significant” customer wins towards the end of its last financial year helped Eddie Stobart Logistics generate a £21m surplus, which was used to repay its debt.
Vehicle transporter Autologic’s shares have today been delisted from the Alternative Investment Market following its takeover by Stobart Group.
