Freight and warehousing specialists Europa Worldwide Logistics has opened a new £20m purpose-built distribution centre in Birmingham. Constructed in just 24 weeks, the new 155,000ft² facility at ProLogis Park, Minworth, brings together a number of the company’s operating divisions under one roof, including European express, seafreight, national distribution, exhibition and project forwarding and logistics services. Europa MD Andrew Baxter has revealed the company has spent at least £1m on Brexit preparations in 2019 alone but said year-end profits would still be up and that leaving the EU is the right outcome for the logistics sector.
