The race to be named Motor Transport’s Fleet Truck and Fleet Van of the Year hotted up with the announcement the MT Awards shortlists at the CV Show.
Long lists for the coveted titles were drawn up by a panel of operators and the shortlists selected by an online vote by registered readers of Motor Transport.
The shortlist for Fleet Van of the Year, revealed by Richard Gosling, sales director of sponsor CVS, is: Ford Transit; Iveco Daily; Mercedes-Benz Sprinter; Renault Kangoo ZE; and Volkswagen Crafter.
The shortlist for Fleet Truck of the Year, announced by David Spence, channel marketing manager at sponsor Chevron Lubricants, is Daf CF; Iveco Stralis; Mercedes-Benz Actros; and the Volvo FH.
Motor Transport editor Steve Hobson says: “The Motor Transport Fleet Truck and Fleet Van of the Year awards are highly valued by the manufacturers because they are chosen by the people who really matter, the operators.”
The winners will be announced in front of 1,400 guests at the MT Awards on 13 June at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
