UPS has added 10 new dual-fuel Mercedes-Benz Axors to its dedicated London 2012 fleet, the first of their kind in the logistic giant’s global 2,500-strong alternative fuel fleet. The long-wheelbase Axors feature a 4×2 drivetrain with a 360hp six-cylinder diesel engine, which has been modified by the Handstaff Group to enable them to run on a dual-fuel blend of biomethane and diesel. Clipper Logistics Group has revealed plans to float on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) this year in a bid to raise funds to support it’s growth strategy.
UPS’s UK business recorded “modest growth” last year in both turnover and pre-tax profit, with revenue rises largely driven by its European and international businesses.
Royal Mail began conditional trading on the London Stock Exchange this morning (11 October), with shares rising in value by over a third just an hour and a half into its listing.
