Myhermes.co.uk has delivered its two millionth parcel just 10 months after reaching the one million mark in June last year.

Following high levels of demand over the Christmas period, which saw volumes double during the busiest shopping week to more than 60,000 parcels per day, the company says the service is rapidly gaining business from online traders and niche retailers.

John Tobbell, commercial director of myhermes.co.uk, says: “The growth of myhermes.co.uk is really gathering pace as more and more consumers and small businesses are realising the benefits they can achieve in terms of cost savings, convenience and reliability when compared to other services in the marketplace.”

Myhermes.co.uk is operated by Hermes, and is designed to meet the delivery requirements of businesses using auction sites, marketplaces and other internet sales channels, including eBay and Amazon Marketplace.

The company says consumers can send and receive a parcel six days a week that is picked up on a specified day from as little as £2.75 + VAT to addresses across the UK.
