CitySprint has acquired all operations at Woking-based Eagle Express Worldwide Couriers. Its same-day, international and UK overnight operations were acquired by CitySprint on 8 December, taking its network to 35 depots and 2,000 couriers. It will be transferred over to the CitySprint brand later this month. CitySprint said the transition will be seamless for Eagle Express’ customers and it will continue to be serviced by the same staff at the same depot in Old Woking. Tarmac has confirmed it is in consultation with staff, following media reports suggesting it intends to relocate its headquarters from Wolverhampton to Solihull as part of its joint-venture with Lafarge.
