Justin Stanton, Editorial Director

I’m the editorial director of Road Transport Media. That involves establishing the strategy for Commercial Motor, Motor Transport, and Truck & Driver and writing the occasional news story or feature, proofing pages and getting involved in special projects.

Previously I was editor of Commercial Motor, and before that editor of Motor Transport, where, as well as writing stories, I chaired half a dozen roundtables a year, and played a major role in organising and fronting the Motor Transport Awards in 2008 and 2009.

I analyse Commercial Motor’s Trucking Britain Out Of Recession survey results every month, and I regularly deliver presentations at industry gatherings.

Most recently I interviewed logistics legend John Harvey for an exclusive two-part retrospective in Motor Transport.

I’ve been a business journalist since 1994, and have reported on retail markets (at Housewares Magazine and DIY Week) and the construction industry (at Contract Journal). I was appointed editor of Motor Transport on 1 October 2007 and promoted to editor of Commercial Motor on 3 August 2009.

I’ve been interviewed by other journalists on radio and in print, and been shortlisted for numerous awards. I’ve also contributed to Truck & Driver, Autosport, Mojo, Cabinet Maker and Brain Damage.

Away from work, I’m mad about motorsport (Brands Hatch is my local circuit), movies (I write a movie blog), rock music and comics. I also enjoy good food and fine wine as regularly as my modest paycheck will allow.
