CollectPlus signs deal with Amazon.co.uk

CollectPlus is to offer Amazon.co.uk customers a service that will see parcels delivered to one of its  5,000  stores across the UK. Smiths News win £40m a year News International contact extension

News International (NI) says it is extending its newspaper distribution contract with own-account operator Smiths News, a deal that is worth over £40m a year. The agreement will see Smiths news distributing copies of the Times, Sunday Times and the Sun until 2019, increasing the group’s market share of NI’s wholesale business to just under half. TNT Express confirm UPS merger delay

TNT Express has confirmed that the European Commission has temporarily suspended a merger bid with rival postal company UPS. Despite the delay, which will allow the EU regulator to compile more information, TNT Express say that they “would still anticipate a closing in the fourth quarter.” A spokesman for TNT Express tells MT.co.uk: “We have been notified of what is expected to be a temporary delay in the European Commission’s review process. DSV entertainment arm moves into Air & Sea

DSV has confirmed that has integrated its entertainment logistics division into its Air & Sea division just two years after it was launched. The multi-modal giant launched DSV Entertainment Logistics in 2010. NWF Group profit down as fuel division disappoints

Boughey Distribution parent NWF Group has revealed that its pre-tax profit fell by a third, despite a 16% increase in revenue. Revenue rose to £540.2m for the year-ending 31 May, up from £463.8m 2011. However pre-tax profit dropped to £5.1m, compared to £7.6m in the previous financial year. Norbert Dentressangle has won a three year contract renewal with cooking equipment manufacturers Hobart UK, worth over £1m. Advanced Supply Chain is closer to reaching his £100m annual turnover goal after it exclusively revealed to MT.co.uk that it has secured deals with a number of retailers. TNT Post have signed a two year contract with PRO-CURE, a provider of NHS commercial services across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hampshire, saving the company a forecast £300,000.
