Aberdeen-based ARR Craib Transport saw off difficult conditions in its key oil and gas sectors last year, helped by several major wins in the construction and fast moving consumer goods markets. According to its annual results to 31 March 2017, ARR Craib saw turnover rise £44.8m (2016: £43.5m) in the period, with pre-tax profit up to £1.1m (2016: £1m). Ripon-based Potter Group Logistics has bought York logistics firm and Palletline member House of James for an undisclosed sum. The deal, struck yesterday (16 May) boosts Potter’s turnover by 50% to £22m, adding 100,000ft² of warehousing space, 35 vehicles and 55 trailers to the fleet.
