UK Mail has made a trio of appointments to its senior management team as the business thrives on its acquisition by Deutsche Post DHL in 2016. UK Mail Group saw a 20% increase in parcel volumes and improved performance in its pallets division during the third quarter, it has revealed in an interim management statement today. The firm saw an increase in turnover for its pallets business during the period, after seeing a significant decline in operating profit for the division during the first six months of the financial year. UK Mail has revealed a pre-tax profit of £12.9m for the 12-months ended 31 March, down 19.5% on the previous year mainly due to a £2.2m hit from closure of four depots. Group turnover for the year was up by 8.4% to £429m, however, when adjusted for the increase in Royal Mail prices implemented on 6 May 2011, revenue increased by just 3.2%.
