Bullet Express has taken on a second client at its storage complex in Baillieston in Glasgow.

Fitness supplier Powerhouse Fitness Europe has taken space at the facility, 18 months after Bullet Express moved its operations from East Kilbride to the larger facility in Baillieston, as part of plans to expand its storage business

Powerhouse Fitness joins McFarlane Packaging Group, which opened up a distribution and storage centre at the complex in July last year.

This latest arrival sees the facility now fully let with the two firms taking three of the seven units on the site between them, with the other four units occupied by Bullet Express.

The site, which has 190,000ft² of storage and distribution space with capacity for 21,000 pallets, operates 24 hours a day for four days a week, with full G4S security.

MD David McCutcheon told MT that both McFarlane and Powerhouse have brought Bullet Express new opportunities, with McFarlane using Bullet Express’s logistics services to support its existing distribution service and Powerhouse Fitness in talks with Bullet Express about the provision of similar logistics services.

McCutcheon added: “It’s certainly going well since we opened the site in April last year. We’re really busy and currently working hard to be ready for this year’s Black Friday.”

Powerhouse managing director Ken Reeve said: “We are looking forward to the future with confidence as we follow our program of improvement in every area of the business.

“This new logistics facility in Baillieston is a key element in our expansion and efficiency plans as we continue to strive to provide the best customer service possible.'
