XPO Logistics has renewed its contract with spirits company Maxxium UK.

XPO has been working with the business, which owns brands including Famous Grouse scotch and Courvoisier cognac, since 1999.

The operator will continue to manage storage of Maxxium UK's products at its 125,000ft2 site in Mossend, Scotland.

It is also responsible for the packaging of products. Distribution of the products is managed by XPO and fulfilled by third-party operators, organised regionally.

“The expertise of our dedicated Mossend team is particularly evident during the three months a year when Maxxium realises 50% of sales. XPO is proud to provide a class-leading solution for Maxxium and their customers.”

Maxxium business services director Gary Thomson added: “Having worked with XPO for a number of years, we are confident in the team’s ability to manage the storage and distribution of our brands.

“XPO’s flexible warehousing and distribution solution in Mossend has enabled us to optimise our stock holding during times of peak demand.
