Argos logistics workers are to strike for three weeks from tomorrow (15 August) as the two sides remain at loggerheads over a redundancy payments dispute. Union Unite warned that deliveries to Argos customers will be severely hit by the strikes which will begin tomorrow and end on the morning of Tuesday 5 September. Last-minute talks are being conducted today between Indesit UK and union Unite over the pay and conditions of over 200 drivers and warehouse staff at the white goods manufacturer – just over 36 hours before the first of three separate strikes is due to start.
Eddie Stobart and the Unite union could be heading to arbitration service Acas to end the row over drivers’ jobs at Tesco’s Doncaster DC.
