DPDgroup has increased its majority shareholding in e-commerce delivery company WnDirect to 83%, effectively taking full control of the business. The two companies have been working together for a number of years and said the deal would support international expansion of WnDirect. Deutsche Post DHL’s purchase of UK Mail has completed, meaning the postal operator is now fully owned by the German company.
DPD is to increase its nationwide capacity by opening 15 new or upgraded depots by the end of next year, including three that will be double the size of its regular sites.
