Chesterfield-based Hastings Freight has seen off rivals to win the main logistics contract for Henderson’s Relish.

As part of the contract Hastings Freight, which is a Palletways member, will be responsible for timed next-day deliveries of Henderson’s relish to Asda, Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and to JD Wetherspoon pubs across Manchester, Skegness, York and Birmingham.

Hastings freight runs 40 trucks and 25 trailers and employs more than 70 staff.

Debbie Raynes, Henderson’s Relish business administrator, said Hastings Freight had won the tender due to its “financially competitive logistics package,” and its access to Palletways’ 'award winning' IT systems.

Hastings Freight MD Alan Hastings, added: "This is a great coming together of two local businesses and we couldn’t be happier to partner with Henderson’s Relish which has an iconic status across Yorkshire.
