Former AM Widdowson head of sales Paul Turner has joined Leicestershire-based Premier Logistics in the same role.
Turner replaces Mark Steel who recently left Premier Logistics to take on the role of head of sales at pallet network Pall-Ex.
Turner's appointment sees him reunited with former Widdowson Group commercial director John Hawksworth, who joined Premier Logistics in September of last year as director and group general manager.
Before this Hawksworth was MD of Birds Transport and Logistics.
Turner's former roles include account director at Hays Customer Solutions and sales manager at Prolog. In April 2011 he joined Widdowson Group as business development manager and was promoted to group head of sales in April 2014.
Turner's brief at Premier Logistics, which has its headquarters in Bardon, Leicestershire, is to develop the company's sales strategy and generate new business across its core service offering of pallet distribution, warehousing and fulfillment.
Widdowson's confirmed that Turner is yet to be replaced.
