Salvatori

A Salvatori and Sons has gained better access to the A2, the port of Dover and to Salvatori Group’s sites in Rochester and Calais, after its parent company’s relocation to headquarters outside Canterbury.

The new £5.5m Kent premises is "tailor-made" for the group's activities, which include heavy and palletised haulage, as well as cold, ambient and palletised storage.

More than £1.3m has been invested in a cold storage facility at the Aylesham Industrial Estate, which allows for the storage of more than 10,000 pallets across almost 32,000m² of space. There is close to 40,000m² of ambient storage space available too.

Salvatori Group CEO Daniel Salvatori said: “This is a significant investment for the Salvatori Group which will create fantastic new opportunities for us.

"The facilities and storage space will help to focus our operation and improve the speed and delivery of our services to our customers and partners within the Palletways network.”

The company has also invested in 3,048m² of commercial workshop facilities to house its commercial repair workshops and its up-cycled furniture manufacturing business. There are also offices at the site to house the group’s administration, storage and transport operations staff.

The Salvatori Group, which joined Palletways in 2015, employ 125 members of staff.
