Pentalver has said it will continue to seek new opportunities after a year that saw it open a container services site at London Gateway and expand its services in specialist haulage. For the year-ending 31 December 2015 Pentalver Transport posted a rise in turnover from £62.7m to £65.7m, while pre-tax profit rose to £4.9m, from £4.3m in the previous financial year. Turnover and profit both rose by some 12% last year at Newmarket, Suffolk-based Turners (Soham), as a prudent approach to rates and new business continued to pay off. In the 12 months to 31 December 2011, turnover jumped 11.9% to just under £235m (2010: £210m); while pre-tax profit rose 12.5% to £24.3m (2010: £21.6m). Container operator Pentalver has added 52 new Scania R series tractor units to its road haulage fleet. The vehicles are to be split between its Cannock and Felixstowe operations, with 45 and seven vehicles going to each site respectively.
