Premier Logistics has signed a two-year contract with Capitol Tiles, which said it expected its deal with the haulier to “dramatically reduce” damage it had previously seen with pallet networks.

The deal will see Premier service Capitol’s online and in-store operations, delivering tiles to homes and retail outlets across the country. It will be the firm’s sole provider of domestic palletised freight movements.

Capitol Tiles Group financial director Karen Wright said: " Premier’s increased use of its own fleet resource dramatically reduces the damages that historically arise from the sole use of Pallet Networks.  This combined with a very strong IT offering made Premier Logistics the best choice for our business.”

Premier Logistics sales director Mark Steel said: "We’ve built and established a relationship over several years with Capitol Tiles.  This has now progressed and it is very re-assuring to have formalised the agreement with a contractual partnership.

“We have had an interesting journey with them and it gives me great pleasure to now have the knowledge that we will be continuing in their journey as sole logistics supplier.”
