Gefco UK has extended its sustainable packaging contract with plant manufacturer Caterpillar BCP. The deal, which began with a trial towards the end of 2014, will see Gefco continue to deliver its plastic ‘GefBox’ containers to Caterpillar suppliers and collect them again from production sites. Gefco said the plastic packaging increases load capacity and production space for its users, which in turn increases overall efficiency and productivity. Lewis Tankers has won a three year distribution contract with Vivergo Fuels, transporting bioethanol to refineries across the UK. The contract will see Lewis Tankers distribute bioethanol from the fuel firm’s biorefinery in Saltend, near Hull, Humberside – which is expected to become fully operational this quarter – to major fuel suppliers across the UK.
