Mobile elevated-platform supplier Lavendon Group, which trades as Nationwide Platforms, has terminated its five-year delivery and collection contract with Wincanton a year after it outsourced transport to the 3PL. The contract, inked in November 2014, will be wound up by March of this year with the service returning in-house. Wincanton is trialling four low-level access tankers that is says will improve driver safety, and boost both its environmental credentials and vehicle utilisation. The “game changer” side manway design, which has been developed with manufacturer Feldbinder, provides side access to the silo tanker.
