Ceva Logistics has beaten other 3PL providers to clinch a new contract with private healthcare provider BMI Healthcare.

The three year contract will see Ceva store medical equipment and consumables, including temperature controlled storage of pharmaceutical products, and distribution of these across the UK to more than 60 hospitals and healthcare facilities.

BMI said it selected Ceva for the contract as a result of “the value it will add to the company’s internal supply chain”.

BMI Healthcare MD for the UK, Ireland and Nordics Michael O’Donoghue said: “CEVA’s operational framework for handling the BMI Healthcare business was a key component of our value proposition for this new relationship.

“We believe our range of services will improve supply chain efficiency, provide operational flexibility and enhance IT integration for the organization.”
