Former Norbert employee Kevin Richardson has been confirmed as CILT chief executive Steve Agg’s replacement.

Agg announced he was set to retire at the end of this year back in April, after almost 10 years in the role.

His replacement comes with a 35 year background in logistics including four years at XPO Logistics, formerly Norbert Dentressangle, where he was European development director.

Richard Wilding, chairman of the CILT Board, said: “We are delighted to announce Kevin Richardson as the Institute’s new chief executive. He will lead the institute with commitment, energy and a wealth of expertise into a new era within the logistics and transport sector.”

CILT president and senior traffic commissioner Beverley Bell said: “I am looking forward to working with Kevin in his new role as chief executive of the Institute.

"His experience in the logistics and transport sector will ensure the Institute continues to grow as the profession expands and develops.”
