Asda has chosen Bandvulc for a new long-term agreement that will see the retread specialist manage the retailer’s tyre supply for its HGV and Dot.com fleets.

The new agreement, an extension of an existing relationship, sees Bandvulc and Tyre Maintenance combine to deliver products, services and administration for Asda's vehicles across the UK.

Asda’s senior manager – national fleets, Sean Clifton, said: “Bandvulc provided us with a solution which saw cost savings and planned initiatives in both our operational sectors of HGV and Dot.com.

“This, alongside their environmental credentials and most importantly, the delivery of their commitments, lead us to agree this new, long-term arrangement."

In January Bandvulc became the first transport industry supplier to join Sedex, a not for profit organisation dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains.
