Hoyer has selected Goodyear as its new tyre provider, ending a relationship with Michelin that began 18 years ago. The bulk liquid distribution giant will fit its 400 units and 780 trailers in the UK, as well as 4,000 trucks and trailers across Europe, with KMax, FuelMax and Goodyear retreaded products. Chester-based third party logistics provider Great Bear Distribution has said it “performed well” last year after raising turnover by over 12% and pre-tax profit by nearly 8%.
County Dublin family-run haulier Dixon International has switched to Michelin X Line Energy tyres across its 110-strong truck fleet after a trial revealed significant fuel savings. Us of the X Line tyres in a six month trial involving six tractive units on international work demonstrated an average 5.2% fuel saving.
